APT personnel have developed and recently updated an expert system to analyze National Weather Service data to research the historical database of all tornadic activity in the United States since 1950. This expert system, the Site Assessment of Tornado Threat (SATT), can provide answers to such questions as:

1. What time of day are tornadoes most likely to occur at a specific location?
2. What month are tornadoes most likely to occur at a specific location?
3. From what direction do tornadoes generally approach a specific location during a particular time period, on a specific day?
