APT is pleased to announce the following appointments.
Jorge Flores, Explosives Safety Division Manager
Jorge Flores has returned to APT as its new Division Manager for the Explosives Safety Division. He has a Mechanical Engineering Degree from University of Central Florida, a Master’s Degree from the University of Arkansas, and over 20 years of safety engineering experience at organizations such as the Army Material Command Logistic Leadership Center’s System Safety Program, the Space and Missile Defense Command (SMDC) Safety Office, the AMCOM Safety Office, and Lockheed Martin Missile and Fire Control (MFC) supporting the Air to Ground Missile Systems (AGMS). During his previous time at APT, he served in the Explosives Safety and Test Division as the PM for the RBESCT support contract, PM for the IMESAFR and ATF support contracts, and PM for DOT explosives hazard classification testing services. He also obtained his Program Management Professional (PMP) Certification. He has four children, Alex, Alayna, Sebastian, and Matteo, with his wife Cindy.
Terrell Profitt, Accounting Manager
Terrell Profitt is APT's new Accounting Manager. He is an experienced financial analyst with expertise in financial statement preparation, budgeting, and forecasting. He has also worked on various business consulting projects, including market analysis and cash flow projections. Additionally, he is knowledgeable in financial risk management, financial software applications, mergers and acquisitions, and private equity. He is also a proud Girl-Dad of two, Paige and Parker, with his wife Porscha.
Heather Daniels, Training Program Manager
Heather Daniels has been promoted as APT's Training Program Manager. Since joining APT in 2004, Heather has advanced from Graphics/Publications co-op to Graphics/Publications Lead. In 2021, she took on the additional role of Training Coordinator for the Safety Engineering & Analysis Center (SEAC) division. She has made numerous improvements to the training program, including the implementation of a Learning Management System on the Teachable platform which allows learners to attend training in a online, self-paced format. APT’s Risk Management for Safety Engineers training course is available now, and Software System Safety Engineering will be launching this fall.
