Probabilistic Risk Assessment (PRA) is a comprehensive, structured, and logical analysis methodology aimed at identifying and assessing risks in complex technological systems. PRA is generally used for low-probability, high-consequence events for which limited statistical data exist.
This course is intended to provide a better understanding of the PRA process, tools, methodologies, and their applications in assessing the risk of complex technological systems. The material in this course is based on over 30 years of extensive industry and government experience in systems analysis, probabilistic risk assessment, and reliability engineering.
The course covers an introductory material on probability basics, PRA definitions and terminology, discussion on the PRA vs. reliability, PRA history, the integrated PRA process, and tools and techniques used to conduct a complete PRA study. This includes: the Master Logic Diagram, Event Sequence Diagrams, Fault Tree Analysis, Event Tree Analysis, Bayesian Analysis, failure rate PRA data sources, commonly used PRA software, and a PRA case study.

Training Cancellation Policy: If you are forced to cancel your reservations after payment of the fee, you will be entitled to transfer the reservation to a later class, 100% refund (minus credit card processing fees) if cancelled 60 days or more prior to the class date, or a 50% refund (minus credit card processing fees) if cancelled 30 days or more prior to the class date. No refunds are available if requested less than 30 days prior to class date, but substitutions can be arranged.

If minimum attendance for financial viability is not met, APT reserves the right to cancel the course up to 15 days prior to class date and a full refund will be provided or reservation may be transferred to another date.
