(APT), in partnership with IMESAFR sponsors, the Institute of Makers of Explosives Safety Analysis for Risk (IMESAFR) software tool is a premier quantitative risk assessment program used to calculate risk to personnel from explosives facilities. Trusted across the international commercial explosives sector, this state-of-the-art software is also accepted for regulatory use in the United States and Canada.
To help organizations better understand the value and mechanics of this tool, APT is hosting an IMESAFR Awareness Session, a half-day, virtual class designed to introduce a wider audience to the software’s intended applications, its developmental pedigree, and its foundational risk-calculation methodology.
Who Should Attend? This training is highly recommended for safety managers, regulatory stakeholders, and organizational leadership. Please note that this is an introductory-level awareness class; it is not designed to provide instructional training for hands-on IMESAFR users.

- A high-level overview of IMESAFR and its capabilities.
- A series of practical examples demonstrating the tool’s utility.
- A comprehensive summary of the risk equation driving the software.
- An exploration of the extensive testing utilized to anchor IMESAFR’s models.
